Winter Comes
Dancing, leaping, twirling about
Much like the fire we move
Our bodies writhe, cascading together
Over and around the flames again
Winter is coming, some say
Their voices sad, listless
A dread that weighs the spirit.
Winter is just a time to rest
It's a beginning to the light to come
The prelude to the warmth of spring
Leave this dread behind and dance with me
Come forth and jump the fires
Drink, dance, share your warmth
For winter will come as it does every year
And we need not fear the cold
If we are sharing our warmth
Our light.
